RAREBOOST PROJECT

The aim of the RareBoost ERA Chair project is to enable the IBG to become a center of excellence in Rare Disease research and innovation. Important steps towards this vision:

• Establishment of a specialized unit for Rare Diseases comprising of leading scientists in the field of Rare Diseases through an open, transparent, and merit-based approach
• Raising the research and innovation capacity of IBG’s Rare Diseases Unit to international excellence standards by establishing strategic, long-term partnerships with prominent international leaders in the field and integrating it into the network of centers of excellence in Europe
• Leading the development of the personnel of IBG’s Rare Diseases Unit not only in scientific and technical matters but also in social skills related to research, career development, management, innovation, and administration, by enhancing their training and teaching abilities and competencies
• Leading the dissemination of knowledge and expertise of IBG’s Rare Diseases Unit to national and international partners in the academic, private, and public sectors
• Establishing a collaborative network on Rare Diseases in Turkey involves providing the resources and infrastructure of IBG’s Rare Diseases Unit to national and international partners in the academic, private, and public sectors and connecting it to interactive networks
• Promoting the research and innovation capacity of connected institutions in Turkey on Rare Diseases, which will significantly contribute to the ERA’s research ecosystem and enhance its integrity
