The European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA) (www.erdera.org) is a partnership that aims to improve the health and well-being of the 30 million people living with a rare disease in Europe, by making Europe a world leader in Rare Disease (RD) research and innovation, in support of concrete health benefits to rare disease patients, through better prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
We are seeking a highly qualified Medical/Clinical Genetics Specialist who has completed medical school and residency in medical/clinical genetics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of clinical expertise and research skills in the field of medical genetics. This position involves managing both clinical and laboratory responsibilities, including handling genetic data, performing advanced experiments, and leading collaborative projects within and outside the organization.
Requirements
Medical Degree (M.D.) with completed residency in Medical Genetics.
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and genetic research.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatics tools for data interpretation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with experience in managing cross-disciplinary collaborations.
- Excellent command of English.
Specific Requirements
- Familiarity with the analysis of complex datasets using bioinformatics tools.
- Leadership experience in a clinical or research setting.
